Controlling the rhythm and pacing of your AI narration is essential for creating natural-sounding audio. With Narration Box, you can easily manage the flow of speech by inserting specific pauses directly into your script. This allows you to add emphasis, separate ideas, or simply create a more human-like cadence.
Start by navigating to the dashboard and clicking on the Text to speech card to open a new project or access the Studio.
In the text editor, click to place your cursor at the exact location within your script where you want to insert a break.
Click the Add Pause button located in the formatting toolbar above the text input area.
A dropdown menu will appear with various duration options (e.g., Short 0.5 sec, Medium 1 sec). Select the duration that best fits your needs.
A pause tag, such as
[1s pause], will be inserted into your text. The AI will now remain silent for that specific duration when generating speech.
