Top-up words and voice clones are used after your included monthly allowance.
For words, Narration Box uses your included monthly words first. If your project needs more words than you have left in your monthly allowance, your purchased word top-up balance can be used.
For voice clones, Narration Box uses your included voice clone allowance first. If you need more voice clones than your plan includes, your purchased voice clone top-up balance can be used.
Purchased top-ups roll over. Unused purchased words and unused purchased voice clones stay available in your account after your billing cycle ends.
You can see your balance from the Usage page.

You may need a top-up when:
Your word balance is too low to generate more audio.
You are creating a large audiobook or long narration.
You need more voice clones than your plan includes.
You are producing content for multiple projects.
You need extra usage for a one-time project.
If you regularly buy top-ups, upgrading your plan may be more cost-effective.
Top-ups are available for active paid subscriptions.
If your subscription is not active, purchased top-up balance may not be usable until your paid subscription is active again.
